Landscape Technician Apprentices Attend First ESC Touchpoint Day
On 18th June, Engineering Skills College (ESC) was delighted to welcome our Landscape Technician apprentices to campus for their first in-person Touchpoint Day.
The event brought apprentices together from across the programme, providing a valuable opportunity to network with peers, engage with industry professionals and experience practical learning beyond the virtual classroom.
The day featured a range of industry-led activities, including a hand-drawing workshop delivered by Eleanor & Donald Landscape Architects (EDLA), exploring the importance of sketching, creativity and visual communication within landscape practice.
The cohort also visited a recently completed project at the iconic ExCeL London, hosted by HTA Design. The site visit provided apprentices with first-hand insight into the planning, design and delivery of landscape schemes, enabling them to see how the knowledge and skills developed through their apprenticeship are applied in a real-world environment.
A special thank you goes to our industry partners, (EDLA), HTA Design and the Landscape Institute for their continued support of the programme and commitment to developing the next generation of landscape professionals.
We look forward to building on this momentum as the programme continues to grow and to welcoming a second tranche of Landscape Technician apprentices in January 2027.
