The Level 4 Civil Engineering Senior Technician apprenticeship is designed for experienced technicians who take greater responsibility for managing technical activities within civil engineering projects. Apprentices develop advanced knowledge, leadership capability and problem-solving skills to support the delivery of complex infrastructure schemes.
Delivered through a blend of college-based learning and workplace application, the programme covers areas such as advanced engineering principles, project planning and coordination, quality assurance, health and safety management, and effective communication within multidisciplinary teams. Apprentices apply learning directly to their job role, strengthening decision-making and technical judgement.
This apprenticeship enables employers to upskill their workforce into confident senior technicians and provides a clear progression route towards higher-level technical or professional engineering roles.
