Engineering Maintenance Technician – Level 3 Apprenticeship

The Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician apprenticeship is designed for individuals working in engineering and manufacturing environments who are responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving equipment and systems. Apprentices develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours required to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Delivered through a blend of college-based learning and workplace experience, the programme covers core areas such as mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, health and safety, engineering principles, and the use of tools and technical documentation. Apprentices apply their learning directly within their job role, strengthening competence and confidence on real equipment.

This apprenticeship supports employers in developing reliable, work-ready maintenance technicians and provides learners with a strong foundation for progression into senior engineering, supervisory or specialist maintenance roles.
